We modelled this part from scratch from the customer’s sample. The model stays with us, so a copy can be printed at any time – without the modelling stage, which makes it faster and cheaper than a new job. If needed, we adapt the dimensions or the material.

The problem / original part

The parts for the W123 have long been out of production.

How we did it

  1. CAD / reverse engineering

    Heater knob: modelled from scratch from the dimensions.

  2. Test versions

    Test print and first fitting, then we redesigned the hooks for a firmer hold.

  3. Final printed part

    Strut mounts: seat geometry rebuilt and mounting areas reinforced.
